Zach learned the mortgage business from the inside out. He began his career at MegaStar Financial in 2018 as a loan processor, working closely with underwriting, escrow, title, and file audits. That experience taught him early on what makes a loan close smoothly and what can cause one to fall apart at the last minute.

By 2020, Zach had moved into loan origination. Over the next two years, he closed more than $22 million in loan volume and was recognized as Rookie of the Year, Number One Sales Support, and a Five Star Mortgage Professional Rising Star.

​

After the market shifted in 2022, Zach spent three years in commercial roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope sales, helping property managers, municipalities, and building owners navigate large and complex decisions. Different industry, same skill: making complicated decisions feel simple.

​

Today, Zach is back in lending with Loan Partner Jim Nolte and the Greenlight Mortgage Group team. His approach is straightforward. Provide a real preapproval, communicate clearly, explain the full cost of financing rather than just the rate, and be willing to say when waiting is the better decision.

​

Zach works extensively with first time buyers and house hackers, helping clients understand how their first home can also become their first investment. He is also expanding his expertise in investor financing, high net worth borrowers, and creative lending solutions.

​

A Colorado native, Zach was born and raised in Denver and earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder, with a minor in Entrepreneurship through the Leeds School of Business. He lives in South Denver and is also an FAA licensed drone pilot.

​

Outside of work, Zach enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, cycling, photography, concerts, and spending time with his partner Katie, their pets, and family and friends across Colorado.

Zach believes homeownership is one of the most accessible long term wealth building tools available. His goal is to help clients understand not just how to get a mortgage, but how homeownership fits into their bigger financial picture.

Zach is licensed in Colorado and pursuing his license in the Kansas City Metroplex states of Kansas and Missouri.
