I have spent most of my professional career in the financial industry, with experience ranging from retail banking and automotive lending to mortgage lending, where I have worked since 2017. I began my mortgage career as a Loan Officer Assistant before moving into Loan Processing and ultimately becoming a Loan Originator. I’m grateful for the opportunity to have worked in multiple facets of the industry, as it allows me to proactively create smooth, informed, and efficient homebuying experiences for my clients.

 

My approach is centered on consumer advocacy and homebuyer education. I believe clients deserve a clear understanding of how the numbers work from every angle, including both the short- and long-term impact of different loan products and financing strategies. My goal is to empower clients to make confident financial decisions that support their future. To me, clients are far more than a transaction — I strive to earn their trust and mortgage business for years to come.

 

After earning a Master of Education degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 2010, Tammy began working for a real estate broker and property investor, where she spent four years gaining hands-on experience in real estate and property management. This background provides her with a well-rounded understanding of real estate transactions from multiple perspectives, making her a strong advocate and resource for homebuyers throughout the lending process.

 

As the daughter of a military family, Tammy is well-traveled and grew up in various communities across the country. She now calls Austin, Texas home. The Mortgage Dogs brand was inspired by Tammy’s own rescue dogs — River, Zoe, and Jack.

 

Outside of work and outdoor adventures, Tammy and her dogs compete in a variety of canine sports, proudly demonstrating that rescue mutts can excel alongside purebred competitors.

 

Mortgage Dogs also gives back to the community via donations to various dog-related charities for each loan closed – From rescue to dog training resources and even therapy dog organizations.

 

Tammy is licensed in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, and Michigan.
